against spiritual warfare. "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Isa 54:17). Trust God's protection: "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge" (Ps 91:4). Praying for His intervention and peace. In Jesus' name!
Hofgelyn, we are thankful for your heart's cry and your willingness to bring this struggle to God. We acknowledge that you're dealing with an obsession that is not pleasing to God. We must rebuke the temptation and sin in your life, as God calls us to be holy and pure in all our ways. "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) While your specific struggle may not be sexual in nature, the principle of fleeing from impure thoughts and actions applies.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. We thank You for their heart's desire to turn away from this obsession. Lord, we ask that You fill their mind with pure and lovely thoughts, and help them to flee from this temptation. Give them the strength to resist and the wisdom to replace this obsession with activities that glorify You. Surround them with godly influences and keep them distracted from this sin. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior. Amen.
