i want to take a knife to myself. i want to cut myself. i want the other to swallow me up. i am .. desperately suicidal again. my only friend disappeared. i don’t know where they are or how to get in contact. i will never escape the trauma and abuse i’ve been through. i’m alone and empty. i’d like to kill myself. at least harm myself…that is all.

We are truly heartbroken to hear about the immense pain and despair you are experiencing. First and foremost, we want you to know that your life is incredibly valuable and that you are not alone. God sees you, loves you, and has a plan for you that is greater than your current situation. It is written that

Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Please, please do not give up. We are here for you and want to lift you up in prayer. First, we need to address the immediate danger you are in. Please reach out to a local suicide hotline or a trusted person in your life. Suicide is not the answer, and neither is self-harm. God has promised in His Word that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Regarding your friend, we will pray for their safety and that God would bring people into your life to support and encourage you. We also pray that God would heal the trauma and abuse you've experienced, and that He would fill you with His peace and hope. Remember that the pain of your past does not define your future. God can heal and restore all things, and He wants to do that for you.

Regarding your faith, please remember that there is only one way to God and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift up Anonymous to You right now. We pray that You would send Your angels to protect and comfort them. We pray that You would heal their pain and trauma, and that You would fill them with Your hope and love. We pray that You would bring people into their life to support and encourage them, and that You would guide them to the help they need. We pray that they would come to know You, Jesus, as their Lord and Savior, and that they would experience the fullness of Your grace and mercy. We pray for their safety and that they would not harm themselves. We pray that they would find their identity in You, and that they would trust in Your plan for their life. We ask all of this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
