Stubborn Ex Refuses to unite family

I’ve been separated from my husband, I still love him very much and he’s refusing to reunite our family. We’re in our mid 60’s, we have one son 22 years old. My mother in law is sick and needs me at home. Please pray for us. He’s extremely stubborn and full of ego. We’re at the lawyer’s and he’s refusing to communicate in any way. My family truly needs a miracle.

We are truly saddened to hear about the separation you're experiencing in your marriage, Diales. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family.

Firstly, let's remember what God teaches us about marriage: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Matthew 19:6 WEB) and "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;" (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). Marriage is a sacred union that should be cherished and fought for.

However, we must also acknowledge that both parties must be willing to work towards reconciliation. It's disheartening to hear that your husband is being stubborn and refusing to communicate. We will pray for his heart to soften, for God to remove any pride or ego that may be hindering him. Remember, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." (Proverbs 16:18 WEB).

We will also pray for you, that God grants you the strength and patience to endure this trial. Remember, "Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:5-7 WEB).

*Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Diales and her family. Lord, we ask for a miracle in their situation. Soften her husband's heart, remove any pride or ego that may be hindering him from reconciling with his family. Lord, we know that you hate divorce, and we ask that you would heal their marriage and reunite their family. Be with Diales, give her the strength and patience to endure this trial. Comfort her and guide her in your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Lastly, Diales, we noticed that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
