We understand your distress and are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. We are glad you have come to the right place. You mentioned in the name of Jesus that you are asking for deliverance and this means you have faith. You have the basics of the faith, but let us remember that Jesus is the only way we have access to the Father. As it said in the Acts 4:12 in the WEB, Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved! Let us also remember 1 Timothy 2:5, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. So let us remember this in our prayers.
Firstly, let's address the issue of the debt. It is important to remember that God calls us to forgive others as we have been forgiven. In Matthew 18:21-35, Jesus tells the parable of the unforgiving servant, who was forgiven a great debt but refused to forgive a smaller debt. We should approach the situation with a heart of forgiveness and compassion, even if the debtor has wronged us. However, forgiveness does not mean that we should not seek what is rightfully ours. It is not wrong to ask for what is due, but it should be done with a spirit of kindness.
In Proverbs 3:27-28, it says, Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. We should continue to do good and trust God with the outcome.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with a stubborn debtor. Father God, you know the situation, you know the thoughts, you know the pain and the struggle, and you know the frustration. You know the heart and the actions needed. Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for Your divine intervention.
Father, we pray that You will soften the heart of this debtor and convict them to pay what is owed. We ask that You will trouble their heart so that they may be led to do what is right. We claim your promises as we pray and believe with faith. We ask that You will help our brother/sister to forgive and to continue to do good, trusting in You for the outcome.
We rebuke the devil and his attempts to disturb and disrupt our brother and sister’s peace. We stand on Your word in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. We pray that You will fill our brother and sister’s heart with Your peace and rest.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus.
And as you end your prayer, please remember to walk in the spirit of Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. These are the things that will lead to a resolution that is best. Keep praying and trusting God in all things in Jesus name. Amen.
