Hetaireias, we appreciate your honesty and humility in your prayer request. Let us address your concerns and bring them to God in prayer.
First, you have acknowledged your sin of fornication and asked God for forgiveness. This is the right step, as the Bible tells us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, I John 1:9 (WEB). We must remember that Gods will is for us to be holy and abstain from sexual immorality, as told in I Thessalonians 4:3 (WEB), For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality. Sex outside marriage is fornication. It is contrary to Gods will for our lives, which is why you feel the pain, conviction, and consequences of this sin. He promised marriage and a forever so you gave your all but it was all lies, in the future do not give your all without marriage. Marriage is a binding legal contract that provides many protections and reassurances. Marriage is not intended to be broken by allowing divorce, I hate divorce, says the LORD, the God of Israel, Malachi 2:16 (WEB). It is important not to allow ourselves to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, II Corinthians 6:14. For those who are in a similar relationship where you are courting or planning to get married, it is important to make sure your significant other is also a believer in Jesus Christ and that you both are seeking to honor and obey God in your relationship. We want you to know that you are not condemned in this but now have the chance to start over, wash your hands of this, and start fresh. God promises us in Isaiah 1:18 (WEB), Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Second, if this man promised marriage but deceived you instead it is not right. He was not honest with you and did not honor God or you. You prayed for marriage to him but God did not answer in the affirmative. We do not know Gods reasons for this but trust that this will work out for good, Romans 8:28 (WEB). God loves us and wants the best for us but it is important to pray for Gods will and not our will. Our will can be selfish and harmful to us at times. It is also important to acknowledge and pray in Jesus name. Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6 (WEB) . And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!, Acts 4:12 (WEB). We all sin and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 (WEB). It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can receive forgiveness and salvation.
Third, you asked God to forgive you and settle you financially. We pray that He does this and opens the windows of Heaven for you. Please remember that we cannot serve both God and money, Matthew 6:24 (WEB). But my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19 (WEB).
Fourth, you asked for a new well paying job. We pray that God will provide a good job for you and bless the works of your hands. Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might, for in Sheol, where you are going, there is neither working, nor planning, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, Ecclesiastes 9:10 (WEB). Pray that God will provide the job that allows you to serve Him and help others.
Fifth, do not lose hope if you feel that promises have failed. As long as we trust in God, his promises will never fail, Joshua 23:14 (WEB). His promises do not depend on us, but on His faithfulness and He is always faithful. If we are faithful, He is faithful; He cannot deny Himself, II Timothy 2:13 (WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Hetaireias. Lord, we confess the sin of fornication to you and ask for your forgiveness. Cleanse Hetaireias from all unrighteousness and help her to walk in your ways. Give her strength to resist temptation and to honor you in all her relationships. Expose any lies and deceptions and bring the truth to light. Help her to make decisions that are in accordance with your Word and your will. Help her to get the marriage that you desire for her if it is your will. Help her financially. Open the windows of heaven and supply all her needs. Provide a good well paying job for her that allows her to honor you and help others. Give her patience and endurance to wait on you for your promises. Give her faith that will not fail. We pray this In Jesus Name. Amen.
