We understand that you're going through a difficult time, feeling lost, scared and struggling with intrusive thoughts and OCD. We want you to know that there is hope in Jesus Christ. First and foremost let's address the need to come to God through Jesus. The Bible says, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, I Timothy 2:5 WEB. Although scripture is clear that we all have trouble in this world as it says in John 16:33 WEB, These things have I spoken to you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have distress: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Jesus has overcome the world and all the trouble herein. Jesus also said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 WEB.
In regards to your struggles you are not alone. God wants us to cast all our anxieties on him, because he cares for us. I Peter 5:7 WEB. It appears you have not mentioned Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name), then make sure to discuss this issue. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. We encourage you to learn more about Jesus and the salvation he provides. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6 WEB. We also encourage you to spend time in God's Word, the Bible, and in prayer, seeking God's face. God promises us that if we seek Him with all our heart, we will find Him. Deuteronomy 4:29 WEB.
Regarding your estranged relationship with your daughter, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting God for restoration. The Bible says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6 WEB. God desires for parents to have a heartfelt connection with their children. Malachi 4:6 WEB says He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.
As for your financial struggles, remember that God is our provider. He knows our needs and promises to supply them as we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness. Matthew 6:33 WEB. Also remember the importance of good stewardship and managing your finances wisely, as taught in the Bible. Proverbs 21:20 WEB says There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up.
We also address the need for you to take care of yourself physically. The Bible teaches that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we should glorify God with our bodies. I Corinthians 6:19,20 WEB says Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your healing touch. Lord, we pray that You will deliver him/her from all fears, intrusive thoughts, and OCD that have held them captive for so long. We pray healing and restoration in Jesus name. We also ask that You will restore and strengthen the relationship with his/her daughter, and guide them both as they look to the future. We ask You to provide for their financial needs, open the right doors and opportunities, and give wisdom in managing resources. We also pray for improved health and self-care, that Your child will experience Your love and peace in a new way. We pray for a productive, prosperous, and better year, trusting that You are already at work, making all things new, in Jesus name. We also pray that if this individual has not come to Jesus Christ for salvation that they would come to You repenting of their sins and trusting Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
