We understand that you're struggling with repetitive sin and feeling a drift from God. First, we commend you for recognizing that the Lord is the key to overcoming these challenges. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Remember, God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. As 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
The struggle with sin is a common one, but it's crucial to resist and flee from it. In James 4:7 WEB, we are told, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Your plan to engage in Bible study and surround yourself with friends who draw you closer to God is commendable. As Proverbs 27:17 WEB says, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with repetitive sin. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to overcome these challenges. Guide them in their Bible study and surround them with friends who will draw them closer to You. Help them to flee from temptation and to resist the devil, knowing that You are faithful to provide a way of escape.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that with Him, all things are possible. As Philippians 4:13 WEB says, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
Encourage the believer to remain steadfast in the faith, knowing that God is with them and will strengthen them in their journey.
