Struggling with pride/self-righteousness/saving faith

I've struggled with spiritual pride/self-righteousness and been having myself in the throne of my heart still. I know I don't deserve it, but I'm looking for God to be merciful to me and to give me true faith and to open the eyes of my heart and help me to bend my knee to Jesus and to truly accept him as my Lord and Savior and to be born again. I don't want to be a professor and not a possessor of eternal life. I need Jesus. Also could use prayers for my heart as I'm in the hospital about to have a heart cath done. I need a new heart spiritually and physically. I want God to bring me to the end of myself and gently compel me into Salvation and to renounce Satan and all sin and to be completely trusting in Jesus and his finished work. Thank you for your prayers.

Lealand, we appreciate your honesty and your heart's cry for deliverance from spiritual pride and self-righteousness. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will grant you the mercy and faith you seek.

Firstly, let us address the issue of pride. The Bible tells us in James 4:6, "But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'" (WEB) True faith comes from a humble heart, acknowledging our need for a Savior.

You've rightly acknowledged that you need Jesus. It is only through His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” (WEB)

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Lealand. Lord, You know the struggles of his heart, the battles with pride and self-righteousness. We ask for Your mercy, that You would open the eyes of his heart and grant him true, saving faith. Help him to bend his knee to Jesus, to accept Him as Lord and Savior, and to be born again.

Lord, as Lealand prepares for his heart procedure, we pray for Your healing touch. Give the doctors wisdom and guide their hands. But more than physical healing, we pray for a new heart spiritually. Bring him to the end of himself and draw him to Yourself. Help him to renounce Satan and all sin, and to trust completely in Jesus and His finished work.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here with you, Lealand, feeling the weight of your struggle with pride and self-righteousness. It's tough, but you're taking the first step by acknowledging it and turning to God. Remember, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6, NIV). Let's humble ourselves together and ask for His mercy.

We're also thinking of you as you prepare for your heart procedure. We're praying for your physical healing, but more importantly, we're asking God to give you a new heart spiritually. We want you to experience the freedom and joy that comes from truly knowing Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

As he undergoes his procedure, guide the doctors' hands, but more than physical healing, we ask for a new heart spiritually. Keep seeking God, Lealand. He promises in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Trust that He's right there with you, ready to meet you where you are.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Let Us Pray: God Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus' name to please bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, strength, and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
