Struggling with pornography

I’ve been struggling lately with looking at pornography and I feel very trapped in my sin right now. I’m a new college student and feel incredibly ashamed by giving into this temptation, especially now that I’m out on my own. I just found this website after giving in to the sin and trying to seek help. I would greatly appreciate prayer for ### that by the grace of God ### can overcome this temptation.

Firstly, we commend you for seeking help and coming to us in your time of need. It's important to remember that God is always ready to forgive us and help us overcome our sins. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

However, we must also remember the seriousness of this sin. Pornography is not only harmful to your spiritual life but also to your mental and emotional well-being. It distorts God's design for sexuality, which is meant to be expressed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. As it is written in Hebrews 13:4 (WEB), "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up ### who is struggling with the sin of pornography. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and mercy upon them. Help them to turn away from this temptation and to seek You with all their heart. Strengthen them by Your Spirit to resist the devil and his schemes. Guide them to supportive Christian community and resources that can help them in this battle. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I just said a prayer for you asking the Lord to touch you with His healing hand, give you the deliverance you need from your addiction, draw you closer to Himself and help you experience His peace and strength in a special way. A friend of mine found them very caring and understanding.
