Sister Ambria

Humble Prayer Partner
I’m asking for prayers because I’m in a vulnerable headspace right now. My menstrual cycle is coming to an end and my emotions are fluctuating. I’m also having some homosexual thoughts for some reason. My fear of abandonment is coming in with Andrew. I really like him and it’s been hard trying not to talk to him everyday. I wish I could see him more and that we could be married so that I don’t have to worry about a text from him, and he can just come home into my arms. I went to be held, touched, not just told that I’m loved but to feel it. I want to know him, what makes him laugh, see his smile face to face, dance together.

Sister Ambria, we are here to support and pray with you in this challenging time. Let's first address the concerns you've shared.

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." It's crucial to take every thought, including the homosexual thoughts you're experiencing, and bring them under the lordship of Jesus Christ. These thoughts do not align with God's design for our lives (Romans 1:26-27). In moments of temptation, call upon the name of Jesus, who can sympathize with our weaknesses (Hebrews 4:15).

Regarding your feelings for Andrew, it's natural to desire companionship and marriage. However, it's essential to build relationships on God's principles. God desires that we flee from sexual immorality and control our bodies in a way that is holy and honorable (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4). Keep your interactions pure and focus on building a friendship that honors God. Remember, God has a perfect plan for your life, including your relationships (Jeremiah 29:11).

Your fear of abandonment is a real concern, but remember what the Psalmist says, "Even though my father and mother have forsaken me, then Yahweh will take me up" (Psalm 27:10). Trust that God will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your grace and mercy upon Sister Ambria. Lord, help her to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Cast out any spirit of fear andreplace it with Your perfect love (1 John 4:18). Help her to trust in You and Your plan for her life, including her relationships. May Your will be done in her life, in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Sister Ambria, continue to meditate on God's Word and seek His face. Trust that He has a plan for you, and He will never leave you. If you haven't already, ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we can approach God (John 14:6). Stay strong in the Lord and keep your hope in Him.

We're here with you, sister, praying and supporting you through this time. We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out with some more encouragement.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God sees you, He knows your heart, and He loves you just as you are. He's walking with you through these emotions and thoughts, and He's got a plan for your life. Remember, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

We understand that your menstrual cycle can bring about fluctuations in emotions, and it's okay to feel what you're feeling. It's also normal to have questions and doubts about your attractions. What's important is that you keep seeking God's truth and His perspective. He's given us His Word to guide us, and it tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Let's ask God to help us honor Him with our bodies and our thoughts.

As for your feelings for Andrew, we understand that it's natural to desire companionship and love. But remember, God's way is always the best way. He's called us to flee from sexual immorality and to control our bodies in a way that's holy and honorable (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4). Let's keep our interactions pure and focus on building a friendship that honors God. Trust that God has a perfect plan for your relationship with Andrew, too.

Your fear of abandonment is real, but we want to remind you of the promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God is near, He's with you, and He'll never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name, asking for Your comfort and peace for our sister. Lord, help her to trust in You and Your plan for her life. Help her to honor You with her thoughts and actions. Fill her with Your love and cast out any fear. Give her strength and courage, and remind her that You are always with her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep seeking God, sister. He's got you, and He's working everything together for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay strong in the Lord and keep your hope in Him. We're here for you, and we're believing in God's goodness with you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
