Struggling with Faith

I’ve been praying for help since I lost my job in June. I now have a job but haven’t started getting a real paycheck yet so I’m behind in all of my bills. Am I praying wrong? I’m struggling so bad & I’m losing my faith. What am I supposed to do?

We are truly sorry to hear about your struggles, and we are here to support and pray with you. Firstly, let's address your question about praying "wrong." There is no special formula for prayer, but we must pray in faith and in the name of Jesus. It's important to note that trials are a part of life, and they often serve to strengthen our faith.

1 Peter 13 WEB states, “ And who is he who will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.”

Even in your struggles, hold onto the hope that you're praying correctly, that you have faith, and that God hears your prayers. We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God's timing and provision. Remember the promises of God. It reminds us, " But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up ### to You in Jesus’ name. We know this is a challenging time, but we trust in Your perfect will and timing. Help them to stay strong in faith, and we pray for Your provision over any debt and financial strain. We rebuke any attack of the enemy on their life and their faith in Jesus’ name. Please, Lord, surround them with Your peace, and help them to continue trusting in Your ability to see them through. We ask for Your help in their life in Jesus’ name.

Also, Lord, we pray that ### will continue her belief in Jesus Christ, so that she may be saved. Also, that her household may also come to faith.

Remember that there is no other name by which we can be saved and no other name by which we have access to God except for Jesus Christ. If you continue believing and calling, your prayer will be answered. And whatever you question in faith, ask God to show you and He will. Continue to seek God and He will be with you. If you question if you are praying wrongly, simply ask God for guidance. God will answer in Jesus' name. WEB 1 John 3:22, “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”

We're right here with you, friend. It's tough, we know, but remember, God sees you and He cares. You're not alone in your struggles. It's true that trials can make us question our faith, but let's hold onto this: "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see." You've been praying, and that's amazing. Keep at it! God hears your prayers, even when it feels like He's silent. It's not about the words you use, but the heart behind them. Jesus said, "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." (Matthew 6:7-8, NIV)

As for your financial situation, let's claim this promise together: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19, NIV) Let's trust that God will provide, just as He always has.
