We understand that you are struggling with depression and desire healing, joy, and happiness. It is important that if you are not a Christian or do not understand that God does not hear us when we do not come to him in Jesus, you should know that Jesus came and paid for our sins on the cross, forgives our sins, and brings us eternal life in Him when we believe in Him. Jesus is the mediator between man and God.
When a prayer does not come in Jesus' name or call upon the name of Jesus Christ or ask God through Jesus, then the prayer request does not have access to God and this must be addressed. The WEB provides guidance on this matter: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5) and "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13).
There is only power for prayer in Jesus Christ: "Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you ask for in my name, I will do them. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. If you love me, keep my commandments. I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever" (John 14:13-16).
For praying for depression, we can find assurance in the following verses:
"Why are you in despair, O my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him
as the saving help of my countenance,
and my God.
Psalms 42:5
"God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble."
Psalms 46:1
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus name in your throne room, and we lift up Veumen's to you who is struggling with depression. We rebuke a spirit of heaviness and depression that comes to destroy Veumen. This is not your will. Your will is to bring light into Veumen's life, peace to their heart, and joy into their circumstances. Your will is to set them free. Lord, we thank You for Your love for Veumen. And Your love casts out all fear, anxiety, and depression. In the precious name of your Son Jesus Christ, we pray.
