We are truly sorry to hear that you're feeling overwhelmed with stress and anxiety, but we're glad you've reached out for prayer and support. First, we want to address that the struggle you're facing is not from God but an attack from the devil to destroy your peace. Remember God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Do not be afraid, for God is with you; do not be dismayed, for he is your God. He will strengthen you and help you; he will uphold you with his righteous right hand. That is why we are told not to worry in the Bible. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We must also address that asking Jesus to bring you home to heaven is not the solution to the problem you're facing. God has placed you on this earth for a purpose, and He wants you to fulfill that purpose. It is not for us to wish for death to bring us peace. Even when we do not feel like it, we must choose life. This is what God tells us to do in the Bible. This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nation
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ###, who is struggling with anxiety and worrying. We pray that You will comfort them and replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace. We know that You are a God who cares for us, and we trust that You will help ### overcome this difficult time.
We pray for the Holy Spirit to be at work in our friend's life, strengthening their faith and reminding them of Your unfailing love which casts out all fear. We pray that Your promise is true in their life: even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. We pray for the strength and courage to face their worries head-on and to be reminded of Your promise to never leave them nor forsake them. We pray also for blessings upon their life and for all the honor and glory to be yours alone, Lord.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Fix your eyes on Jesus and trust that He has good plans for you. Whenever you feel anxious, come before God in prayer, and He will hear you. And remember, we are also always here for you.
