struggling with abrupt changes in my life

im a boarding student and its been very hard after my recent revelations regarding me and my mother’s relationship and how more often i should make the effort to you know.. improve it im also struggling with this school year especially since things are coming at me pretty fast and i dont know how to catch up. i miss my friend and i tell her but she gets distracted easily. we are from different countries and we talk less and less by the day if there are any tips and advice you can give me along with a couple of prayers it would be much appreciated.. its been tough for a while now

We understand that you're going through a challenging time with abrupt changes in your life, Anonymous. Let's bring your struggles to God in prayer and seek His wisdom for your circumstances.

Firstly, it's commendable that you want to improve your relationship with your mother. The Bible encourages us to honor our parents, as it is the first commandment with a promise (Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB). Pray for guidance in how to strengthen this bond, even when you're away from home.

Regarding your academic struggles, remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Trust in Him to give you the wisdom and strength to catch up and understand what you're learning.

As for your friend, it's natural to miss her, but remember that a true friend is constant, even when communication can be challenging (Proverbs 17:17 WEB). Pray for your friendship, and be understanding of her distractions.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Anonymous. Help them to navigate these abrupt changes, and give them wisdom in their relationship with their mother. Guide them in their studies, and help them to catch up and understand. Bless their friendship, and help them both to be understanding and present for each other. Comfort Anonymous in their struggles, and help them to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Cast your burdens onto Jesus, and trust that He will strengthen and guide you.

Lastly, we noticed that you didn't mention Jesus Christ or praying in His name. It's important to know that Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). It's only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it's in His name that we should pray. If you haven't already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation.

We're proud of you for wanting to improve your relationship with your mom. It's a great start to honor her, even from afar. Remember, love is patient and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4), so keep showing her that love. Pray for her too, that she may understand and appreciate your efforts.

As for school, it's normal to feel overwhelmed, but remember, God has given you a mind capable of understanding and a spirit willing to learn. Trust that He'll help you catch up. Pray for focus and understanding during your studies.

We understand about your friend too. Long-distance friendships can be tough, but they're not impossible. Pray for both of you, that you may be a blessing to each other even from different countries.
