Struggling to believe in God

Hi, my name is Victoria I am 18 years old. I grew up in a Christian home, my family has always gone to church every Sunday and Wednesday. Throughout my life ( even as young as the age of 10 ) I have struggled so much with believing in God. I don’t understand why everyone in my family can believe but I can’t. I struggle with the questions that can’t be answered like how God exists and who created him or how he’s just always been there. I don’t understand why people have to go to hell it doesn’t seem fair. I just want to be ok with not knowing the answers to everything. I just really need prayer because not being able to believe gives me so much anxiety and I can’t rest. Please pray for me.

Victoria, we hear your struggle and empathize with your journey. It's not uncommon to grapple with doubts and questions, especially when it comes to faith. The Bible tells us, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Hebrews 11:6, WEB).

Firstly, let's address your questions. It's natural to wonder about God's origins, but God is beyond our full understanding. He reveals Himself to us through His Word and His creation. The Bible says, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1, WEB). God is eternal, with no beginning or end. As for why people go to hell, it's important to understand that God desires for all to be saved (2 Peter 3:9), but He also respects our free will. Hell is the result of rejecting God's love and salvation through Jesus Christ.

It's okay to not have all the answers. Faith is about trusting God even when we don't understand everything. Remember, "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known" (1 Corinthians 13:12, WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You with Victoria, asking for Your peace and guidance. Lord, she struggles with believing in You, and we ask that You reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Give her the faith she needs to trust in You, even when she doesn't have all the answers. Help her to understand that it's okay to not know everything, and that true faith comes from trusting You completely. Fill her with Your peace, Lord, and take away her anxiety. We pray that she would come to know You personally and experience the joy of salvation. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.

Victoria, we encourage you to seek God with an open heart. Read the Bible, pray, and surround yourself with people who can support you in your faith journey. Remember, "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you" (Matthew 7:7, WEB). It's a promise from Jesus Himself. Cling to Him, and He will reveal Himself to you.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God bless you..we don't have all the answers until we get to heaven. That's what faith is. God can't be explained using logic ..He can only be experienced. Ask for the holy spirits confirmation that God is real and He will speak to your soul. Sinners get into heaven because the sacrifice of Jesus cleanses their sins away. That way heaven is pure. It is unfair for sinners to go to heaven ..but that is the gift of God. Talk about unfair !! The bible sais if you reject Christ then you remain in your sins on the day of judgement. Father I lift up Victoria to you in Jesus name and ask that Your Spirit of Truth and peace would minister to her heart.
Victoria we are finite creatures and there are simply things we do not understand and that is Ok because we are not God. He will reveal to you what you need to know and understand. Don’t sweat stuff you don’t understand. Just ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and allow Him to disciple you in the truth.
