We join you in lifting up your loved one who is experiencing anxiety and is currently in rehab. It's commendable that you're seeking God's help and intercession for the nurses and caregivers involved in her life. It's only natural to feel concerned and protective, and we're thankful for your acknowledgement of Jesus Christ in your prayers.
Firstly, let's address the anxiety issue. God's Word tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). We pray that God's peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We also pray for the nurses and caregivers, that God would give them wisdom, patience, and compassion as they care for your loved one. "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4 WEB).
We commend you for seeking forgiveness for any hurt you may have caused others. This is in line with Jesus' teachings, "If you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Matthew 6:14 WEB).
Regarding the negative thoughts you're experiencing, we encourage you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her loved one. Lord, You know the anxiety and struggles they're facing. We ask for Your healing touch and peace to fill their hearts and minds. Guide the nurses and caregivers, Lord, and bless them abundantly for their service. Help our sister to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and fill her with Your love, joy, and peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it's only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation. "Because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
