We are truly sorry to hear about the stroke patient you are praying for. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's will for this situation.
Firstly, we need to remember that God is our healer and that He has the power to restore and make whole. The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases". We need to pray with confidence to God who heals all diseases. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. If we believe in the name of Jesus, we can ask for healing in Jesus name.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this precious life who has been affected by a stroke. We pray for Your healing touch upon them, knowing that You are the Great Physician. We ask for wisdom and skill for the medical professionals attending to them, and for comfort and strength for the family and loved ones during this time.
We rebuke the spirit of death and infirmity, and we ask for Your life-giving power to flow through their body, restoring and healing every affected area. We believe in the power of prayer and we stand in faith, believing that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Father, we pray that You restore this patient of this stroke to full health. Give them the ability to communicate, to eat, to swallow, to walk, to be the whole person that You created them to be as You have full ability to restore them.
We also pray for the family and loved ones, that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and that You would guide them through this time. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are in control.
You told us in James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will save the sick. We, therefore, approach Your throne of grace and mercy with boldness and faith that You will heal this stroke patient. We ask for the doctors to be supernaturally guided to the right treatment, to the right decisions, and for the stroke patient to have a full and speedy recovery.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In this time, it is also important to meditate on God's word. Here are some verses to encourage and strengthen you:
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him, and by his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5
"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves." Psalm 107:20
"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick one. The Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." James 5:14-16
It is good for us to know that God's will for us is good. Stopping a stroke is the devil's work. But if you did not know this, it is good to now know that this is not from God. Use this opportunity to pray for salvation of this stroke patient.
