Stress and Relationships

Howdy. I am needing prayer for my relationship with my best friend. We both are very strong in our relationship with the Lord. This past summer we had several arguments in our relationship (which was my causing) and him and I have both forgiven each other. However, we are still growing from that. I ask for prayer that we can continue to push each other closer to Christ, that we can grow closer with each other - loving each other as Christ has loved us and that we get to a place again where we are there for each other. This relationship is truly one from God and that continues to be shown time and time again. I also ask for prayer that I can give my worry and stress about this to the Lord fully. Knowing He (God) is in control and that I am forgiven because of His son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for my sins.

Firstly, it's commendable that both of you are strongly rooted in your relationship with the Lord. Remember, God is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you (2 Thessalonians 3:3, WEB).

Regarding your friendship, it's important to recall what the Bible says about forgiveness and love: "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32, WEB) You both have forgiven each other, which is a wonderful start. Now, continue to show love and kindness, as Christ loves us.

However, we want to remind you that the Bible encourages us to seek godly spouses and marriages that honor God. If your friendship is evolving into something more, make sure it aligns with biblical principles. "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." (Genesis 2:24, WEB)

For your stress and worry, cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7, WEB) God is in control, and He has forgiven you, so you can find peace in Him.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up ### and their friend. Thank You, Lord, for their strong relationship with You. We ask that You continue to draw them closer to You and to each other, in a way that honors You. Help them to love each other as You have loved us, and to be there for each other.

We also ask that ### can fully give their worries and stress to You, Lord. Help them to trust in Your control and Your forgiveness. Please bring peace to their heart and mind.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, ###, we noticed that you didn't mention Jesus Christ in your request. We want to remind you that it's by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13, WEB) Always remember to pray in Jesus' name.
