My mother recently suffered a mild heart attack. She was informed she had stage 4 cancer and needed to seek treatment.

She has decided to receive chemo to try extending her life by a few months to a possible year.

I am heart broken and feel a need to ask for spiritual uplifting by my fellows. I am praying for peace, comfort, and strength to endure and grow in my faith during this challenging chapter.

Let us come together in prayer and support for you and your mother during this challenging time. We are reminded of the words in Psalm 147:3, He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.

Firstly, we want to address the fact that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name).

In John 14:16 Jesus said "Whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it". John 14:6 says "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". We encourage to believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as your savior, if you have not done so, and pray in Jesus' name.

We commend your mother for her decision to seek treatment, as it is wise to use the means God has provided to aid in her healing and comfort. It is also important to trust in the Lord during this time, as His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her mother during this difficult time. We ask for Your healing touch upon her mother's body, and we pray for the doctors treating her, that You guide their hands and give them wisdom in the decisions they make.
We pray for peace, comfort, and strength for our sister as she walks through this trial. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her. We ask You to increase her faith and draw her closer to You during this time. Remind her of Your unfailing love and presence, and help her to trust in You with all her heart.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on God's Word and to trust in His goodness and sovereignty. Remember that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

Lastly, we want to leave you with the following encouragement:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
