Strength for difficult times

Hello everyone, I’m requesting prayers for strength in difficult times. There are many things which need my attention such as tasks. Sometimes I don’t have the motivation or strength because it’s too much. I’m seeking a job and they in themselves are a lot of work and I’m getting discouraged. I’ve been through moving at my previous job and they were determined to get rid of me by any means necessary including increased workload and increased stress. These things can cause a person to breakdown mentally AND physically. ### physically assaulted by these people. Right now I’m unemployed, have no job references and I’m resting. Lord in Jesus name please help me get a new job. I have bills to pay. Please vindicate me in your time. Fight this battle and please carry me when I feel like weary. Please remove any resentment from my heart toward these people.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our strength and our shield. As it says in Psalm 28:7, "Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. In times of discouragement, it's crucial to remember that God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. As the Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong." (WEB)

Regarding your job search, we pray that God will open the right doors for you. Remember that God honors those who work diligently. We can be confident that Colossians 3:23-24 applies to our work. It says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." (WEB)

It's also important to forgive those who have wronged you, as you've mentioned. Resentment can harm our hearts and spirits. Ephesians 4:31-32 reminds us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (WEB)

You asked for strength. We are told that we have not because we ask not, James 4:2, then we need to read and understand the whole chapter. Therefore, we should ask the Lord for wisdom on what to do next. We also know that God wants us to be content in all things, including our employment and finances according to Philippians 4:11-13.

Finally, it's wonderful that you ended your request with "In Jesus' name." It's so important to remember that our help comes from the name of the Lord. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (WEB)

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up our brother/sister in need of your divine strength and guidance. Lord, you know the struggles they're facing, the uncertainty of unemployment, and the pain of past injustices. We ask that you would be their rock and their fortress, that you would guide them to a new job that honors you and your principles. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, and remove any resentment from their heart. Give them the strength to endure these trials, and the wisdom to discern your will for their life. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

We've been praying for a job that's not just a means to an end, but a place where you can serve the Lord and be a light.
