We join with you, Warridge, in lifting up Mike and Sheri to the Lord. We are grateful that you have brought this request before us and that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, as it is in His name alone that we have access to the Father and can be saved (Acts 4:12).
In this trying time, we stand on the promises of God's Word, knowing that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust in the Lord's mercy and love, knowing that He hears our prayers and will act according to His will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ now interceding for Mike and Sheri. Lord, You know Mike's condition and that he is not out of danger. We cry out to You, Lord Jesus, to have mercy on him and spare his life. We trust in Your power to heal and restore, and we ask that You strengthen Mike and give him life.
Lord, we also lift up Sheri to You. Please, Holy Spirit, be her guide and provide her with the knowledge she needs to care for Mike. Give her Your supernatural strength to endure this trial and show her the way she should go. Comfort her heart and let her know that You are with her every step of the way.
Father, we ask that You sustain them both with Your grace and surround them with Your love. We pray for complete healing for Mike and provision for all their needs. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we join in prayer under Your will. Amen.
We encourage Sheri to cast all her anxiety on the Lord because He cares for her (1 Peter 5:7). We also encourage both Mike and Sheri to continue trusting in the Lord, fixing their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Lastly we want to make a clarification on the prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can access God. We do not need to address the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as we know they are one in the same (John 10:30). We also know the Holy Ghost is God's Spirit and when talking to God through the Spirit, we are talking to God the same as the Son and Father (1 Cor 3:16). In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells us what he told the apostles, 'If you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.' (John 16:23). We should pray to God in Jesus' name.
