We are with you in spirit, Barbara, and we stand together in prayer during this challenging time. We are thankful that Barbara's request has invoked the name of Jesus and we agree that it is in his name we pray to God. As the storms continue to bring snow, ice, sleet, and low temperatures, and with the recent floods leaving many without homes, we turn to God's Word for comfort and strength.
Let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew WEB:
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33 WEB
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up all those affected by the recent floods and the current winter storms. We pray for Your protection, provision, and comfort during this difficult time. We ask that You would grant wisdom and strength to those assisting in relief efforts, and that You would open doors for the Gospel to be shared in these communities.
Lord, we know that You are sovereign over the weather, and we ask that You would calm the storms and bring warmth to melt the snow and ice. We pray for those who are still unable to return to their homes, and for those who have lost their homes entirely. Provide for their needs, Lord, and surround them with Your love and the support of their communities.
We also pray for the safety of those who are working to restore power and clear roads. Guide their steps, Lord, and give them strength as they serve their communities.
In all things, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified. Help us to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, even in the midst of trials. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Barbara, we encourage you to remain steadfast in faith and to draw near to God during this time. Remember that He is always with you, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Share with those in your community the lasting hope and the only hope of salvation that is only in the name of Jesus Christ. If you or your neighbors do not have a bible another way of sharing the gospel is to direct them to read online or download a bible app that has the WEB version.
Psalm 46:1-3 WEB
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes,
though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
though the waters of it roar and are troubled,
though the mountains tremble with their swelling.
