We are truly sorry to hear about the storm damage to your home, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and provide guidance during this difficult time.
Firstly, we are thankful that you acknowledged Jesus. Believing in the Lord Jesus is a prerequisite to receiving any blessings, protection, and prayers according to John 14.6 where it is written, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Also, scripture clearly tells us to approach God the Father in the name of Jesus according to John 16.23.
In times like these, it is important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble according to Psalm 46.1. When we go through trials, we can trust that God will not only be present and give us His peace, but will also work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8.28). Sometimes the working for good does not look like we first expect.
Regarding your home and the storm damage, we would begin by quoting Jesus' words in Matthew 7.24.27. Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine, and does not do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fellโand great was its fall. These verses remind us of the importance of obeying Jesus words and building our life on Him, the solid rock.
We pray that you will trust the Lord Jesus Christ.
Now, let us pray for you:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Anne Onymous. Lord, You are sovereign over the storms and trials of this life, and we ask that You extend Your hand of protection over her home and now damaged property. Provide her with peace and comfort the possible lost. Help Anne with claiming any insurance, if possible, available and dealing with the insurance company. Please help her and the insurance company to be fair, and if not possible please provide for her financial needs to restore and possibly improve the home. Give her wisdom as she goes about repairing and possibly getting contractors to accomplish and restore her home. May your compassion and love be made tangible and bright to everyone involved and may you be glorified in all things. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Amen means we believe it and agree with the spoken prayer.
However, we need to point out something. We are acknowledging and praying for a person named Anne Onymous, but Anne Onymous is usually not a name and we do not ask for it. If not really the name we still pray for the person making this request. We use the name in the prayer even if it is not a real name.
Lastly, during this time, remember the words of Jesus in John 16.33, where He says, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
