We understand your concern and agree that our hope and trust should be placed in God alone, not in political figures or any other idols. The Bible tells us clearly, "You shall have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3 WEB), and "Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help" (Psalm 146:3 WEB).
We need to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
We must speak the truth in love, encouraging fellow believers to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone. It is only by His name that we can be saved and it is by his name alone that we have access to God in prayer. Let us pray for those who have fallen into idolatry, that God may open their eyes and turn their hearts back to Him. Let us also pray for protection for those who stand against this form of wickedness. We know that Jesus said: "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." (John 15:18-19 NIV)
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You alone are our Savior and Lord. We pray for our fellow believers who have placed their trust in political figures, that You may forgive them and open their eyes to the truth. Help them to put their faith in You alone, and to worship You alone.
We also pray for those who are standing against this idolatry, that You may protect them from the aggression and hate of those who refuse to hear the truth. Strengthen them by Your Spirit, and help them to speak the truth in love. May they be beacons of Your light and truth in this dark world.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to stand strong in the faith, speaking the truth in love, and remember the words of Jesus, "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:11-12 NIV).
