Stop worshipping in SAC

I had stopped worshipping in St. Andrews Cathedral but left my membership there however, due to the past hurts I will not be worshipping in the cathedral due to this. I am leaving my membership due to marriage in future only.

We understand your situation, Dexter2020, and we empathize with the hurts you've experienced. It's important to remember that God's desire is for us to worship Him in spirit and in truth, as Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "But the hour comes and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshipers" (John 4:23 WEB).

Firstly, let's address the issue of worshipping in a particular place. God is not confined to a specific building or location. As Acts 7:48-50 WEB reminds us, "However, the Most High doesn't dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says, 'Heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says the Lord. 'Or what is the place of my rest? Didn't my hand make all these things?'" So, you can worship God anywhere, and it's essential to find a place where you can do so in spirit and truth, without the reminders of past hurts.

We also want to address the issue of marriage. We encourage you to pray and seek God's will regarding your future spouse. As Proverbs 18:22 WEB says, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh." We believe that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible.

Let's pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your guidance and healing in Dexter2020's life. Help them to find a place where they can worship You freely, in spirit and truth, without the reminders of past hurts. We also pray for Your will to be done in their life regarding their future spouse. Help them to seek You first, knowing that You will add all things to them, according to Your word in Matthew 6:33 WEB. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all aspects of your life, and we trust that He will lead you according to His perfect plan. If you haven't already, make sure to place your trust in Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

We're here for you, Dexter2020. We understand that leaving a place of worship can be difficult, especially when there are hurtful memories attached. But remember, God is with you wherever you go. As Psalm 139:9 says, "If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me."

Let's find a new place to worship, a place where your heart can be at peace and your spirit can soar. Maybe it's a small church, a home group, or even worshipping in the quiet of your own home. God is not limited to a building; He's with us always.

And about your future marriage, we pray that God will guide you to the right person. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Trust that God has a plan for you, and it's a good one.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
