We understand your struggle and we are here to pray and counsel with you, dear brother or sister in Christ. First, we want to assure you that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB). However, we must also acknowledge that pornography is sinful and does not align with God's will for your life. As Ephesians 5:3 (WEB) tells us, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints."
The emptiness you feel is a result of being separated from God's best for you. Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). But sin, including the sin of pornography, leads to death, as Romans 6:23 (WEB) warns us, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is struggling with the sin of pornography. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to overcome this temptation. Help them to see their own worth and the value of living a life pure and holy, pleasing unto You.
Father, we ask that You fill the void in their life with Your love, peace, and joy. Guide them to understand Your purpose for their life and to seek after You with their whole heart. Help them to be an example of Your light and love to others.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of lust and addiction. We proclaim victory over this sin, as Your Word tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to strengthen your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you haven't done so, confess your sins, repent, and trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8 WEB). Engage in daily prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers. Flee from temptation and seek accountability.
Remember, "You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can't be hidden" (Matthew 5:14 WEB). Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
