Stop the Violence

Heavenly Father I am asking these shootings to stop in our city. On the news they said we have about 30 different gang in our city. Just about every morning the news reports another person or people shot or dead from over night shootings. Then in eastern Ky last night there was a guy on the interstate that shot at people driving and 8 were injured either by being shot or by traffic accidents. Please stop all of this violence Father and bring our city to the caring people it used to be. Thank you Father for all you do for us. In Jesus Name I Pray Amen

The Bible tells us, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB). Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our concern for our city. Lord, the violence and destruction are overwhelming, and we can no longer bear it. We ask that You intervene and bring an end to the shootings and the senseless loss of life. We pray for the conversion of hearts, that those involved in gang activities would turn away from their wicked ways and seek Your mercy and grace.

Father, we ask for Your protection over the innocent and for Your healing touch upon those who have been injured. Comfort the families who have lost loved ones and bring peace to our city. Help us to be a light in the darkness, to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to work together to bring about positive change.

We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You hear our prayers when we come to You in Jesus' name. May Your will be done in our city, as it is in heaven.

Saraha, continue to trust in God and His power to transform lives and communities. Remember the words of Jesus, "In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I totally agree with you. In our state, a district Judge just ruled people can carry concealed guns on public transportation. This was right after four people were killed in cold blood on a train.. It's out of control and the politicians and the courts are not trying to do anything. God bless you and keep you safe. In Jesus name. Amen.
