We are truly saddened to hear about the destruction and loss of life due to the flooding in Kromdraai, Thabazimbi. We stand with you in prayer, asking God for mercy and intervention.
Let us remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 8:23-27 WEB:
"When he got into a boat, his disciples followed him. Behold, a violent storm came up on the sea, so much that the boat was covered with the waves, but he was asleep. They came to him, and woke him up, saying, 'Save us, Lord! We are dying!' He said to them, 'Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, 'What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?'"
Just as Jesus had authority over the storm, we believe that He can intervene and stop the rain in Kromdraai. Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Your mercy and intervention in Kromdraai, Thabazimbi. We ask that You would still the storm and stop the rain, just as Your Son commanded the wind and the sea to be calm. Protect the people from further destruction and loss of life. Comfort those who have already lost much. Help the community to come together and support one another in this difficult time. We rest in the hope.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage everyone to stand in faith, believing that God can and will intervene. Continue to pray and support one another, trusting in God's goodness and power.
