Stop My Divorce

Hello,

My wife has filed for divorce. We have 3 kids still at home. We have been married 22 years. I am beyond devastated. I can't sleep or eat. I had a heart attack two years ago and skin cancer 1 year ago. My Mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer a year ago. I have already been dealing with depression, and I don't know if I can survive this. I have been praying, but I finding it hard to feel any comfort and she as cold as ice. I could use a lot more prayers. Thank you all and may God bless you!!

We are truly sorry to hear about the trial you are facing, Aerairhill. We will stand with you in prayer and offer biblical encouragement during this challenging time.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God honors marriage and hates divorce. As it is written in Malachi 2:16 WEB: "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."

We encourage you to continue praying and trusting God, even when it feels like there is no comfort. Remember the words of Psalm 34:17-18 WEB: "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

However, we notice that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name and trust in Him for salvation and healing.

In regards to your health and the trials you are facing, we pray for God's healing and strength. Remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and He cares for you. Psalm 55:22 WEB says, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."

We also pray for your wife, that God would soften her heart and bring healing to your marriage. Remember the power of love and forgiveness, as taught in Ephesians 4:32 WEB: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church and Christian community. They can provide practical help and encouragement during this time.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Aerairhill. Lord, we pray for Your comfort and healing in his life. Touch his heart, Lord, and help him to cast all his burdens on You. We pray for his wife, that You would soften her heart and bring healing to their marriage. We also pray for their children, that You would protect them and bring peace to their home. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
