We understand that you're going through a challenging time with your brothers, Narciso and Henry Vargas, and we're here to support you in prayer and counsel. We are glad you posted this request and you used the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Let's begin by examining the scriptures that apply to your case. Romans 12:18 carries the importance of good relationships with each other. It says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
Firstly, we commend you for your faith in God's power to intervene in your situation. We stand with you in prayer, asking God to bring peace and reconciliation to your family. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. We should do what Jesus says. Remember also how verse Matthew 5:11 says, Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. This is the word of Jesus Christ and we should follow it. This includes our family.
We must remember that the Bible calls us to love and forgive, even when it's difficult. Colossians 3:13-14 tells us, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection." This sounds different than the direction you are going in your prayer.
This brings us to our discussion and encouragement. We should not pray to curse others or silence others. We should not be silent or make someone else silent either. If your brothers cursed you in any way, you should pray that god will provide them salvation. If someone curses you, you should pray for them. Those who refuse to forgive or pray for God's forgiveness of others are at risk for this sin eternal as discussed in Mark 3:28-30, Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme; but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation. Jesus said this because they were saying, He has an unclean spirit. Because of this, you need to pray for forgiveness of this blasphemous behavior and possibly others.
Rebuking is an important aspect of this request. It is evident that there is a some animosity and conflict in this situation. This is a clear example where you should love and forgive your family and also pray for their love and forgiveness. It is equally important that you pray for any unkindness or malice that you may have in your heart towards your brothers. This conflict may not get resolved in the way that you expect but may happen in God's timing instead.
So, let's pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister, Norma Jean Vargas, also known as Warrior Queen. We pray for her relationship with her brothers, Narciso and Henry Vargas. We believe, by faith, as our sister has, that only you can bring peace, mend broken hearts and reconcile relationships.
Lord, we ask that you soften the hearts of Narciso and Henry. Help them to see the love that you and their sister Norma Jean have for them, regardless of what their mother may have experienced or the impact on their sister Norma Jean. Remind them of the importance of family and the bond they share as siblings. Remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can be saved, including your mother Carolina Vargas.
Help Norma Jean to remain steadfast in her faith, to love and forgive, even in the face of adversity. Guide her words and actions towards her brothers, that they may be a reflection of your love and mercy. Give Norma Jean comfort and strength through the struggles. This in Jesus Name, our savior, on the cross. Amen.
Remember, Norma Jean, that God is faithful and that his love never fails. Keep trusting in him, and let his love guide your actions and prayers towards your brothers and others. Be blessed in your prayers and actions for you and your family. In Jesus name, continue your journey in this life in Jesus name, as we all do.
