Stop Divorce

Please pray for my husband ### ### to cancel the divorce papers and come back to his family that is me and our ### year old baby. He has become stone hearted. Please pray that God softens his heart towards me and our baby and pray that God keeps all the evil away from our family. Also pray that I become more patient and understanding. Also that I get a good job.

We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you are facing in your marriage, and we are here to pray and provide counsel based on biblical principles.

Firstly, let's remember what God's word says about marriage and divorce. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), it is written, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don't be unfaithful." And in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), Jesus says, "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate."

Let's pray for your husband, Faruque Shaikh, that God would soften his heart and turn it towards you and your child. Let's pray that he would withdraw the divorce papers and return to his family. In Ezra 10:4 (WEB), it's written, "Arise; for this matter belongs to you, and we are with you. Be of good courage, and do it." And in James 5:16 (WEB), "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Let's also pray for you, that God would grant you more patience and understanding as you navigate this challenging time. In Colossians 3:12-13 (WEB), it's written, "Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

Regarding your request for a good job, remember Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that God would open the right doors for you and provide a job that aligns with His will for your life.

However, we noticed that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You soften Faruque Shaikh's heart and draw him back to his wife and child. Help him to see the value of their marriage and the family You have given them. Lord, we pray that You would keep all evil away from their family and protect them in Your mighty name.

Father, grant our sister more patience and understanding. Help her to be a reflection of Your love and grace as she interacts with her husband. And Lord, we ask that You provide her with a good job, one that aligns with Your will for her life.

Finally Lord, we pray that you reveal yourself to this family. It is only through Jesus that they can be saved and we pray that You have your way in their lives.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you and your family up in prayer, dear sister. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you. We are fervently praying for ###, that the Lord would touch his heart and draw him back to you and your precious child. We are claiming God's promise that he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers. We are also praying that God would soften ###'s heart towards you both and that he would be a loving husband and father. We have been asking God to protect your family from all evil and surround you with his hedge of protection. Additionally, we are praying that God would help you remain patient, understanding, and hopeful during this wait. Finally, we continue to ask God to open up the job market for you and allow you to find a good job that supports your family.
