Waiting on the letter of rec. She's still holding off on giving my letter of rec That she has promised, time is running out And I don't think she's taking it seriously, please pray that she keeps her promise and act accordingly so I can start applying. In Jesus name I pray amen

Now, let's consider Proverbs 25:14 WEB:
Whoever commends himself boasts of his unfailing love; but a discreet person keeps silent.

This verse reminds us that those who make promises may not always follow through, but a wise person remains silent until they deliver. We should not boast about our intentions but rather act on them.

In light of this, we pray that the person who promised you the letter of recommendation would be moved in their spirit to fulfill their promise swiftly and honorably. We ask God to soften their heart and give them a sense of urgency and responsibility to complete this task.

Furthermore, we encourage you to remain patient and persistent in your follow-ups. Consider sending a polite reminder to the individual, expressing your understanding and appreciation for their time, but also emphasizing the importance of receiving the letter promptly.

However, we must also be prepared for any outcome. Trust that God is in control of this situation, and He will provide a way for you even if this person does not come through. Remember the words of Isaiah 40:31 WEB:
But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not be faint.

Those who put their trust in the Lord will find their strength renewed. Even if this particular door does not open, God may have another path for you.

Lastly, consider this a learning experience for your own integrity. As believers, we should strive to be people of our word, following through on our commitments in a timely manner. Let us be known as people who act with integrity and reliability, as Ephesians 4:25 WEB says:
Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.

Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your intervention and guidance. Help the person who has made the promise to keep it, and give our friend peace and patience as they await the letter's arrival. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
