Let's come together in prayer for Nick and his family. Firstly, we acknowledge that Nick has been saved, which is a wonderful testament to God's grace. However, we are concerned that he won't let the name of Jesus be mentioned. This should be delicately addressed as it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, we pray in that name, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. We acknowledge that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. In light of this, we must be firm in our faith and persistent in our prayers for Nick's complete deliverance and freedom.
Regarding Nick's aggression, we remember how Paul instructed Timothy:"The Lordโs servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness." (2 Timothy 2:24-25 WEB) This is a reminder for us to approach Nick with love, patience, and understanding, even in the face of his aggressive tendencies.
His mother has stated that his large size is hindering her from giving consequences for his actions. Her prayer request has been submitted so we are here to support her in prayer and help her with the situation. We commit her to the Lord. (Psalms 37:5 WEB). There are things she can do and things that need to be done by the medical and care community and ultimately god.
We pray for the wisdom and discernment of the psychiatrist, doctors, and group home staff involved in Nick's care. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB). It is crucial that they have the wisdom and understanding needed to provide the best care for Nick, addressing both his spiritual and physical needs. We pray that they would recognize that he needs the basic support and love of Jesus Christ. We can support them in prayer and help them effective end the enemy's work.
Regarding Nick's low white cell count and weekly platelet infusions, we pray for his healing and trust that God is able to provide strength and endurance for Nick as he undergoes these treatments.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Nick and his family. Father, we know that Nick has been saved, and we claim Your promise that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Romans 10:13 WEB) We pray that Nick would once again be receptive to the name of Jesus and that his heart would be turned towards You. Help Nick know that he needs Jesus for salvation, eternal life, and a good life here on earth with acceptance and love of Jesus.
We rebuke any demonic oppression or influence that Nick may be struggling with. He has been bought with a price and he belongs to God. (1 Corinthians 6:20 WEB) We command the enemy to flee, for the One who is in Nick is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 WEB) We pray for a complete deliverance and freedom for Nick and that everything will be done for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Colossians 3:17 WEB).
We ask for Your wisdom and discernment for his doctors, psychiatrist, and group home staff, that they would have the knowledge and understanding needed to provide the best care for Nick.
Father, we also pray for Nick's physical healing. We know that by the stripes of Jesus, Nick has been healed. (Isaiah 53:5 WEB) We pray for his white cell count to increase and for his body to be strong and healthy. (Isaiah 40:29 WEB).
Father, we commit Nick's mother to you. She is concerned for her son. She wants to help him where she can and see his future strong and successful. She is wanting help and guidance for her situation. We put it in your hands and we pray for finding a solution to this situation that will be best for everyone involved. In Jesus name. Thank you Jesus. Amen and Amen.
