Stepping forward in a very uncertain time

This is like a riptide we're in now. Things are happening so fast, this is exactly how it was foretold, that time will speed up and events be compounded. Incredible! The political situation in this country is so loaded with emotion and people proclaiming that they're ways are the only true ways approved by God himself. It's not a question of when it's a question of how much violence can manifest within hours after a triggering event. Jan 6th, George Floyd. It makes me feel like I need to go out and buy a weapon but I know inside that the actions of the mind following this decision would corrode everything God is revealing to me. I tell myself, he has said this would happen. The prophets, Son of God and Holy Spirit have given us many warnings and images of what's to come. I believe that the only way I can prepare for it other than knowing it's coming is to discern in my heart the true path to take, the true thoughts to think according to the indwelling spirit revealing truths to my spirit. This is how Jesus said we would be discerning the kingdom of God in every step forward, "In spirit, and in truth". This was the promis. If I can't plug into this I'll be swept away craving for understanding which is often withheld and what grows in that void is fear. Let this be Lord, that I be listening so carefully with my ear to the iron rail by your spirit the things to come each day, the things to believe and what to avoid.
