I am requesting prayer for my stepdaughter’s mother. She has been causing so much conflict throughout the span of me & my boyfriend’s relationship. We are planning on getting engaged by the end of the year. I am fearful of the reaction & drama she may potentially cause. All I want is peace.

Let us together lift up this situation to the Lord, seeking His peace and intervention.

Firstly, we acknowledge the concern regarding the term "boyfriend." In the light of God's Word, we encourage you to consider this relationship as a courtship, a path leading towards a godly marriage. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" As you move forward, ensure that your union is built on the strong foundation of shared faith in Jesus Christ.

Regarding your stepdaughter's mother, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." We are called to respond to conflict with love and prayer, trusting that God can soften hearts and bring peace.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all situations. We lift up to You the stepdaughter's mother, asking for Your work in her heart. We pray that You would replace any anger or resentment with Your love and peace. We ask for wisdom and guidance for this couple, that they may navigate this situation with grace and discernment. Help them to keep their focus on You, trusting in Your plan for their future together. We ask for a spirit of unity and peace to prevail, in Jesus' name. Amen."

Remember, Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Trust in God, and He will see you through this situation. If the name of Jesus was not mentioned in your initial request, we encourage you to remember that it is in His name that we have access to the Father, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Trust in Him, and He will guide your path.
