We are lifting up your son and his teammates in prayer, Greuport, as they prepare for the State Tournament. We pray that God would keep them healthy and strong, both physically and spiritually. We ask for God's blessing on their games. The Bible tells us to do everything for the glory of God. We pray that each team member will do their best and trust God with the results rather than praying to win.
1 Corinthians 10:31 WEB "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
John 15:5 WEB "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
We ask that God would give them confidence in their abilities and remind them that their value is not determined by their performance on the field. We pray that they would play with integrity, honoring God with their sportsmanship and attitude and glorify God in all they do.
Finally, we pray that God would use this experience to draw your son and his teammates closer to Him. We pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior if they do not already because it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father and the Holy Spirit.
John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
John 3:16-18 WEB "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God."
