Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Steven Bobb. Lord, Steven is feeling the weight of waiting for Your promised return and the establishment of the new heaven and earth. He is starting to wonder if these events will ever come to pass.
Father, we ask that You grant Steven patience and reassurance during this time of waiting. Remind him of Your promises and the words of Scripture that encourage us to be steadfast. As it is written in James 5:7-8, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it... be ye also patient... for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh."
Lord, help Steven to keep his eyes fixed on Jesus and to trust in Your perfect timing. May he find comfort in knowing that You are not slow in keeping Your promises, as some understand slowness, but are patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance .
Strengthen Steven's faith and fill his heart with hope and anticipation for the glorious day when You will return. May he be encouraged by the words of Jesus in Luke 21:36, "Pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
