We are lifting you up in prayer, Lorane, as you embark on this new journey with your job. We are reminded of God's faithfulness and His power to redeem our pasts, as it is written in Isaiah 43:18-19 (WEB), "Do not remember the former things, and do not consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs forth now. Do you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
Firstly, we want to encourage you to trust in God's sovereignty. He knows about your past and has granted you this opportunity. Psalm 37:5 (WEB) tells us, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." Trust that His will shall prevail, and He has a purpose in every circumstance.
However, we must address that the concern about your background check reveals a lack of trust in God's provision and His ability to open and close doors. We gently rebuke this anxiety, as it shows a reliance on your own understanding rather than His promises. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donβt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also note that your prayer request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus and pray in His name.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift Lorane up to You, Lord, as they start their new job. We ask that You will work out all things for their good, according to Your will. Lord, if it is in Your plan, allow them to pass their background check and excel in this new position. Help them to trust in You fully and cast away all anxiety. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, Lorane. Remember that God is with you, and He will never forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes on Jesus and strive to serve Him in all that you do.
