Hylwer, starting a new job can indeed be a time of excitement and uncertainty. Let us first remember the words of Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going." This verse reminds us to approach our work diligently and with excellence, knowing that our efforts have eternal significance.
We also want to encourage you with Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." This perspective shifts our focus from merely pleasing our earthly superiors to honoring God in all we do.
Let us pray for you, Hylwer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You to lift up Hylwer as they begin this new journey. We ask that You fill them with Your wisdom and understanding, guiding them in every task and decision. Help them to work diligently and with integrity, reflecting Your character in all they do. May they find favor with their colleagues and superiors, and may they be a light for You in their new workplace.
We also pray that Hylwer would grow in their faith through this experience, remembering that it is in Your strength they find true success. Help them to maintain a balance between work and their spiritual life, always seeking Your will above all else.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
Finally, Hylwer, as you navigate this new chapter, remember to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. It is through Him that we find our purpose and strength. If you ever find yourself feeling overwhelmed or unsure, turn to Him in prayer. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, "Don't be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
