GrievingMother
Disciple of Prayer
I am so grateful to all those who have prayed for us. If you haven't, please read my original prayer request about Starla. I posted it this past Wednesday. I consulted w/attorney the following day, as Starla's step-grandmother had agreed to relinquish guardianship of Starla...until she got the call from my attorney. Now she says that she never said that, and that I must have imagined it! This woman claims to be a Christian, but told me that when my daughter in law came to her home, and later left Starla and her new baby there, that she (the step-grandmother) never had to contact me and that I was lucky she let me see Starla at all. Yes, she did, after keeping Starla from us for nearly 2 years. When I first contacted her after my daughter in law took off to Arkansas (it took me 6 months to find out where they went and who they were with) it was via FB, as I had no other way of getting in touch. I told her who I was, wrote her a heartfelt letter, but, instead of a response, I got blocked for 18 more months. Then she finally unblocked and contacted me a year ago and began allowing me to have visitation for a few days every few months. I just want my granddaughter home for good. And Lord, I am tired of being threatened by this woman. I can't sleep or barely eat. Please God, help our family. Now, I will have to retain another attorney in Arkansas and petition the court for a transfer a guardianship there, and if that is approved by the judge, I then can go back to my attorney here in Louisiana, and petition the court for custody. This woman changes her mind every other day, and Starla is the one who suffers the most. Starla is only 6, but was told she was coming to live with me. Now they are coming to get her the first weekend in August. We are devastated beyond words. Dear Lord, there is nothing I won't do for Starla, but, unless I can come up with another retainer, and get a court date in Arkansas in less than 2 weeks, Starla will be leaving in 2 weeks. They sent her here with very little. They wouldn't let her bring any of her toys and the clothes they sent were all almost too small. I didn't let it bother me, as I felt sure she would be staying, so I've bought her new toys and clothes and gotten everything ready for home-schooling through first grade, then she would attend The Church Academy from 2nd grade through 12th. Please soften this woman's heart. She screams at me on the phone, berates me, and I'm never allowed to speak. If I try, I am shouted at to shut up. I walk on eggshells. This woman has the upper hand and uses it against me at every breath. All we want is our Starla home where she belongs. God bless all who pray for us. I love you, Lord..please guide me, as I will do whatever You ask and whatever it takes. Lord, please bless all these wonderful people who have been praying for us. In Jesus' Name, Amen......Please know that I am praying for each and every one of you. Jan
