We are truly moved by your request, Christina, as you learn to lean on God and intercede for your boss, Anna. It is so important that we pray for one another, especially for those who are new in their faith. We are reminded in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do."
As Anna faces this difficult time, we pray that God will call loudly to her heart. It is our prayer that she will respond to His call and find comfort in His presence. We know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we lift up Anna to You. She is new in her faith and is facing a heartbreaking situation. We ask that You call loudly to her heart, and that she will respond to Your voice. May this trial draw her closer to You, and may her relationship with You, her Savior, Father, and Friend, grow stronger. Give her the strength and courage to face each day, and surround her with Your love and peace. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen."
We also encourage Anna to take heart in the words of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." God is faithful, and He will be with her through this difficult time.
As for the loved one who has turned back to a lifestyle of drugs, we pray that they will turn away from their sin and turn to God. We are reminded in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." There is hope and forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
Continue to stand in proxy for Anna, Christina, and trust that God is at work in her life. Keep praying for her and encouraging her in her faith. We are all called to bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2).
