BLOG OF THE DAY (Mon Dec 14)
Romans 12:2
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what isthat good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

King James Version

Galatians 1:4

“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this *present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:”
King James Version
* The existing state of things in this world, where sin and death reign.

COMMENT
The spirit of the world is in direct opposition to the Way of our Lord. Satan is "the Prince of this world" (Joh 12:31 14:30 16:11). It tries to ensnare individuals in accepting earthly practices and rewards. Things that are detrimental to our soul.

'Surely it can't be that bad? It's pleasing to the eyes. What harm can it do?"

Oh we heard this all before! Remain steadfast and do not conform to earthly treasures! For Satan has been defeated by Christ. Jesus' spotless living, His sacrificial act, and His resurrection restored our relationship to our Heavenly Father. Consequently, there is no other power that can stand before Christ. Sin and death has been atoned for those who obey and Love God.
We now have confidence to boldly walk in His Way. Let the Spirit transform you so that you may be worthy to stand before our Lord.

Steadfast and onward!

One trait of the fallen nature I would like to see them work on overcoming is to have more compassion, to those with problems, instead of getting "irritable" with them and showing that irritability. When a blind or lame person came to Jesus, did He "scold them" because He didn't like to hear it? So if we act differently, is that from Jesus or our own flesh nature?

Our conducts as Christians should always be spiritually filtered. In other words we should not be chasing people away from the Love of God. I can't tell you how many times that I have edited and re-edited my responses to a member's comment just so I don't chase people away. I try to keep His Loving filter when I type. It's not always easy but its critical. Compassion is a must.
