We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your spouse and the father of your son. It's completely normal to feel agony, anxiety, and have anxious thoughts during this time of grief. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
Firstly, we want to lift up your son's need for SSI benefits. We pray that God, in His mercy and provision, will move the hearts of those in charge to approve these benefits for your son. "Let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
We also want to pray for your grief and anxiety. God cares deeply for you and His heart breaks with yours. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18 WEB) Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
However, we also want to gently remind you that while God knows your heart, it's important to come to Him in the name of Jesus. "Whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13 WEB) If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It's only through Him that we have access to God and salvation. "Because there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB)
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek Godly community and counsel during this difficult time. "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2 WEB) Don't hesitate to reach out to your local church or Christian friends for support.
Let us pray:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You today to lift up Gwethtanerl and their son. Lord, we ask that You comfort them in their grief and provide for their needs. We pray that the SSI benefits will be approved and that all their anxiety will be cast upon You. Help them to trust in You and to seek Your face during this difficult time. In Jesus' name, we pr
