The bible says in Ephesians that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. In Galatians it says that the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh. Two realms coexisting. Is it possible that some scriptures may have a physical and spiritual application. Remember that it is written that the old covenant was a mere shadow of the new one. The old was a physical application for the new teaching.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
Genesis 1:26
Being aware of the spiritual in the midst of the physical involves being tuned to the Holy Spirit. The Spirit works to improve our spiritual senses in order for us to discern the spiritual matters in our lives, while still living in the physical world. Apostle Paul goes in lenght conveying this duality.
Now do you think for one moment God did not use this duality inside the writings of the scriptures? Are we to believe that the Holy Spirit gave a one dimensional 'physical application' for the bible authors to write down, while living in two realms? Highly unlikely since the bible is deemed Godly inspired and also taking in account that Jewish leaders were noted for their use of metaphors and duality teaching. But that his truly yours to discover.
Now let's take a glance at the above highlighted verse. Did you notice the details in this verse. The author could have simply stated 'have dominion over the animals' or 'have dominion over the world'. But He didn't! We are to have dominion over the animals of the Sea, air, and land.
There's that grouping of three again. Coincidence?
Final point; you can't have dominion of any realms without God having dominion of you. God made you in His image!
Yours to discover!
The Spiritual realm speaks, are you listening?
