Marte, we join you in prayer for your daughter and her friends as they participate in the sports event. We stand on God's word that tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Philippians 4:6 WEB)
Firstly, we want to remind you that true happiness and joy come from knowing Jesus Christ personally. It is only through His name that we can approach God and find eternal joy. As the scripture says, "There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ###'s daughter and her friends to You. We pray that You would bless their time together at the sports event, that it would be filled with fun, laughter, and joy. May their friendships be strengthened, and may their love for one another reflect Your love for us.
Lord Jesus, we know that true happiness is found in You. We pray that each one of these young people would come to know You personally, if they don't already. Soften their hearts and draw them close to You, Lord.
We also pray for their safety during the event. Keep them free from injury and harm, Lord. May the event be a time of healthy competition and camaraderie, rather than rivalry or strife.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
