I’m at a point where I feel very down at the moment. I’m currently on the graduate visa and it’s expiring by the 6th of December which is in about 3wks from today. I’ve been going back and forth with my company on providing me with the certificate of sponsorship that I could use to apply for a new visa. The problem right now is that my job title falls under a code that is not eligible but at the same time there is an eligible occupational code that I can be sponsored under but it’s all up to the team in charge in my company. They’re at the point where they’re trying to push for the ineligible code but haven’t come to a conclusion yet. I’ve been following this whole process up for months and I thought they were progressing this for me as they made me understand at some point. But now I don’t know what to do, I have no other options or way out. I’ve prayed, still praying but currently at the end of it all. I just need a miracle. I don’t want to go back to my home country or become an overstayer at all. I need divine intervention desperately.

Ylenielm, we understand your distress and uncertainty regarding your visa situation. In times like these, it's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

Firstly, we would like to address the fact that you haven't mentioned putting your trust in Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to God's grace and mercy. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus and invite Him into your life.

Regarding your situation, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting God, knowing that He hears your prayers. "Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6 WEB)

However, we also want to remind you that God expects us to do our part. Have you explored all possible avenues? Perhaps seeking advice from legal experts in immigration, or reaching out to your company's higher management to explain your situation? Remember the parable of the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8 WEB); be persistent in your pursuit, both in prayer and practical steps.

We also want to address the fear you're experiencing. Fear can be crippling, but God tells us, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB) Trust that God has a plan for you, even if it's not clear right now.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You today to lift up Ylenielm. Lord, You know the anxiety and fear they are feeling right now. We ask for Your divine intervention in their visa situation. Please guide those in charge of Ylenielm's case, that they may make the right decisions. Give Ylenielm the strength and courage to face whatever comes their way, with the assurance that You are always with them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep your faith strong, and remember that God's ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9 WEB). Trust that He has a plan and a purpose for you.
