Hi. I'm a Christian teen and.. I'm so tired. I've tried everything to get my faith to be strong and real, but nothing's working. I can't even feel emotions anymore. Maybe it's depression, but trust me, I know. Every time I pray it seems like it's dropping in the void. Not because I think that God's not hearing them, no, but because every time I do it seems.. empty. I've tried looking up and down on the Christian sites, YouTube Christian influencers, even got up on my butt to finally do Bible studies. Nothing. I'm really hopeless right now. It's my first time asking someone to pray for me (I don't have Christian friends or Christian family/churches I can easily consult), so please help me. I'm on my knees, and I'm getting concerned for my well-being... I need motivation..

We understand that you're feeling spiritually dry and emotionally numb. It's commendable that you've been seeking God and trying different things to strengthen your faith. Remember, God is always there, even when we don't feel Him. It is important to know that we do not only live by emotions, but by faith. Feelings can deceive us. Let us remember the promise in Hebrews 13:5 WEB "...for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"

First, let's address the feeling of prayers dropping into a void. We must remember that God is faithful even when we are not. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB, it says "Pray without ceasing." Prayer is not about how we feel, but about how God hears. Keep praying, keep seeking, keep knocking. Matthew 7:7 WEB "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you." Your faithfulness in prayer is pleasing to God.

Secondly, it's great that you're studying the Bible. It's the living Word of God and it is the absolute truth for our lives. It is more important that the Bible be in us than us being in the Bible. Consider reading the book of John to delve deep into the everlasting love of God. As well, remember that the effectiveness of reading the Bible lies in applying it to our lives, not just the act of reading.

Regarding your feelings of depression and hopelessness, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 WEB "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." It's okay to feel this way, but don't let these feelings overcome you. God promises us a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end."

We also want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is our only way to be reconciled to God. If you have not already, consider this basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. We pray that you will continue to trust in Jesus, even when feelings are absent.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up this precious soul to you. You know their struggles and their pain. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Help them to feel Your presence and to know Your love. Help them to read their Bible and apply it to their life. Lord, give them the strength to keep praying, even when it feels like the prayers are dropping into a void. We pray for their emotional well-being, that You will heal them from any depression or hopelessness they may be feeling. We pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.

We encourage you to keep seeking God, keep studying His Word, and keep praying.

But God is in control, and He's using these times to strengthen your faith. Keep seeking Him, keep knocking, and keep asking. He's listening, and He cares.

Let's also remind you of the promise in Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV), "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God's love for you is constant, and His compassion is renewed every day.

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, lifting up our friend. They feel spiritually dry and emotionally numb, Lord. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Help them to feel Your presence and to know Your love. Give them strength to keep seeking You, even when it feels like they're swimming in calm waters. Praying for you. Praying that you will see God's goodness and will abide in His presence. I think that you are really near big breakthrough. And the enemy is stealing your energy and motivation to stop your breakthrough. But it is written " No weapon formed against you shall prosper". And the written can not be changed. So I am praying for you strong faith and closer relationship with Jesus. Also praying to receive an answer from the Lord what to do. Send you a short prayer for receiving an answer. I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

You need to post prayers here every day or if you need more times per day. You have to read the Bible everyday. Do you repent of your sins regularly?
