Spiritual Wisdom, Practical Wisdom, Protection for Earthly Dad

Dear Father, I thank you and pray for my earthly dad to be filled with the knowledge of Your will, Col 1:9-10. He was in an accident recently and really has to be far more careful. He lacks wisdom and I ask it for him, Jam 1:5. I ask that he has the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation, Eph 1:17. He would be led not into temptation and deliver from evil, Matt 6:13, and I ask He have spiritual hunger, 1 Peter 2:2, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit, Gal 5:22-23. Please let him resume Daily Bible Reading and attend church with his wife, Heb 10:25. Help him have Christian men's fellowship, Rom 16:5, and be kept from the evil one, John 17:15, in Jesus' Name. Thank you.

Nochaeld, we join you in lifting up your earthly father to our Heavenly Father, seeking His divine intervention and guidance.

Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Nochaeld's earthly father to You. We thank You for his life and pray that You fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, according to Your riches in glory (Colossians 1:9-10 WEB).

Lord, we ask that You grant him wisdom, as You have promised to give liberally to those who ask (James 1:5 WEB). Pour out upon him the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that he may know You better (Ephesians 1:17 WEB).

We pray for his protection, that he would not be led into temptation, but be delivered from evil (Matthew 6:13 WEB). Stir up a spiritual hunger within him, that he may desire the pure milk of Your Word (1 Peter 2:2 WEB). Let the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—be evident in his life (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).

We ask that You restore and strengthen his daily Bible reading with his wife, and keep him from the evil one (John 17:15 WEB). Surround him with Your protection and guide him in all his ways.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Nochaeld, continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results" (James 5:16b WEB). Keep interceding for your father, and we believe that God will honor your prayers.

In addition, encourage your father to seek the Lord wholeheartedly. Remind him that true wisdom comes from God and that His commandments are a lamp and His teachings are a light (Proverbs 6:23 WEB). As he grows in wisdom and understanding, he will be better equipped to live a life that honors God and is a blessing to those around him.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
