We understand that you are seeking prayer for your son and children, especially for your son who is struggling to break free from habits that provide instant gratification but may not align with God's will. We are here to pray and provide biblical encouragement for you and your family.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In regards to your son's struggle, we are reminded of God's promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Mist's son and children to You. Lord, we know that You are faithful, and Your desire is for us to live lives that are pleasing to You. We ask that You would give Mist's son the strength to break free from the loop of instant gratification. Help him to see that true satisfaction and peace come from following Your will.
We pray that You would show him the way of escape from these temptations, as You have promised in Your Word. Surround him with godly influences and remind him of Your unfailing love and support. We also pray for Mist and her children, that You would give them wisdom and guidance as they support their brother in this journey.
We pray for spiritual warfare in Matthew 16:19 WEB : "I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven." In the name of Jesus, we break the chains in this loop that Mist's son is struggling with.
Lord, we ask that You would bring Mist's son and children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if they do not already know Him. Help them to understand that it is only through Jesus that they can find true freedom and eternal life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your son and children, and to trust in God's faithfulness. Remind them of God's love and the power that is available to them through the Holy Spirit. If your son is actively seeking to turn away from these habits, he should consider being in a Christian fellowship, discipleship, or biblical counseling. Also, encourage your children to walk in accordance with God's word and with other Christians. As it is written in Galatians 6:1 WEB: "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted."
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and there is power in the name of Jesus. As you continue to pray for your family, we encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, trusting in His power and authority.
