Firstly, let's address your husband's mental health. It's crucial to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. So, we don't have to fear, even when we face difficulties (Psalm 46:1-3, WEB). Let's pray for your husband's mental health and spiritual strength:
"Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up this dear sister's husband. We ask that you guard his mind and heart with your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Cast out any spirit of fear, anxiety, or negativity, and fill him with your hope and joy. Guide him in his job search, and open the right doors for him. In Jesus' name, we pray."
Regarding your financial worries, remember that Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He knows our needs and promises to provide for us as we seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:25-34, WEB).
However, it's important to address that the worry about losing your home or credit reflects a heart divided between trust in God and worldly concerns. Jesus teaches us that we cannot serve both God and wealth (Matthew 6:24, WEB). Therefore, let's realign our hearts to trust in God completely:
"Lord, we ask for forgiveness if we've placed our trust in worldly securities. Help us to trust in you completely, knowing that you are our provider and protector. We ask for a financial breakthrough, that you may be glorified. Teach us to be good stewards of our resources and to seek your kingdom first. In Jesus' name, we pray."
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to continue in prayer and the study of God's Word. Remember to put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11-18, WEB).
